This Australian based website has been set up to support gay men
who are planning on, or who are already parents. The site includes an
active Discussion lists and Calendars for Victorian, New South Wales
and Queensland groups which keeps state members informed of
events and topical discussion. Emails to the list asking for
support, advice or just sharing of parenting stories are encouraged.
Promotion of appropriate queer-family events can also be posted
here, including our own family day events of the future.
Membership of the Discussion Lists is restricted (to hopefully
stop those spammers!) but messages are un-moderated.

Gay
Dads Victoria are presenting a community forum on Surrogacy for
Australian Gay Men.
The baby boom amongst gay and
lesbian families isn't just limited to co-parenting arrangements. An
increasing number of gay Australian men are considering surrogacy in
the United States, Canada and India as a means of creating their
family. Domestic and international adoptions are difficult and
largely restricted to exclude gay men and couples. Similarly,
surrogacy options in Australia are extremely limited, if not
completely non-existent.
A community forum for all those
interested in becoming dads through surrogacy is being held at7pmon30
September 2008.
Presented by members ofGay
Dads Victoria, the forum will provide an opportunity to find out
more about Surrogacy and the options available in other countries.
The presenters will share their experiences and be available to
answer questions. The forum is aimed at people just starting
to consider surrogacy as an option or for those who have also
started on the surrogacy journey. No particular surrogacy agency or
method is being promoted, but rather we aim to cover all the options
available in the US, Canada and India
