The site includes an active Discussion list and Calendar which keeps members informed of events and topical discussion. Emails to the list asking for support, advice or just sharing of parenting stories are encouraged. Promotion of appropriate queer-family events can also be posted here, including our own family day events of the future. Membership of the Discussion List is restricted (to hopefully stop those spammers!) but messages are un-moderated. GayDadsVic was originally set up as a sub-group of Fairplay play group. E-group members have also joined through maybebaby, Rainbow Families conferences, and the VGLRL's Love Makes a Family campaign.
